1. How often do you publish?

Crinkling News is published weekly, 48 weeks of the year.

2. What are your issues like?

Crinkling News is a high quality, 16-page printed newspaper in tabloid format. It is packed full of stories and photos from around Australia and the world. From the cutest animals born at the zoo to global crises and natural disasters, Crinkling News has it covered. But this is a newspaper just for kids, so we don’t tell stories in a boring or scary adult way! We also have movie, book, exhibition and game reviews written by kids and even children’s opinion pieces on the big issues. So start thinking about how you can become an Crinkling News reporter now. There are also puzzles, the weekly quiz, and sport. Crinkling News is aimed at seven- to 14-year-olds.

3. And your digital issues?

Our digital issues are edition-based. Some of what you read in the printed paper, you will find online. But to fully experience Crinkling News and make the most of the only national newspaper produced especially for young people, you will need to read the printed paper.

4. When will I receive my first issue?

As a subscriber, you can expect to receive Crinkling News in your letterbox once every week, 48 weeks of the year. Allow 10 to 14 days to receive your first copy after subscribing. You automatically get access, via a username and password, to the Crinkling News website when you subscribe to the paper.

5. How long does my subscription last?

You can purchase a six-month subscription or a one-year subscription. Crinkling News is published 48 weeks of the year, with a four-week break between late December and late January. Your subscription payment is non-refundable.

6. Are international shipping costs included?

There are additional fees for overseas postage. Please email subscribe@crinklingnews.com.au to enquire.

7. How do I renew my subscription?

You will be sent a reminder email when your subscription is about to expire unless you have opted to have your subscription automatically renewed at the end of the six-month or 12-month subscription period.

8. How do I cancel my subscription?

You can stop receiving Crinkling News in the mail at any time by sending us an email, but your subscription payment is non-refundable.

9. How do I opt in to the auto renew payment system?

If you are subscribing for the first time or renewing an existing subscription there is a check box called Auto Renew My Subscription in the Payment Details section of the subscription page. To opt in to the auto renewal system simply check the box. When your subscription is next due for renewal we will take care of the payment using the credit card details that you provided when you first ticked the Auto Renew My Subscription check box.

If you have an existing subscription and would like to set up auto renewal prior to your renewal being due, you can do it through My Account. Log in to your Crinkling News account, select Subscriptions from the My Account section. Click on the View button to view the details of your current subscription. At the top of the page there is an Actions section with a Change Payment button. Click on this button and you will be prompted to enter your credit card details and enable Auto Renewal. Completing this section will set up your subscription to be automatically renewed next time it is due. We do not charge your credit card during this set up process. It is only charged on the day the subscription is due for renewal.

10. Am I already opted in to auto renewal?

You can check by logging into your Crinkling News My Account. Click on the Subscriptions option in My Account and then view your current subscription by pressing the View button next to your subscription. About half way down the subscription details page there is an option called Auto Renewal. If the option says Disabled then you are NOT opted in to the Auto Renewal system.

11. How do I opt out of the auto renew payment system?

You can opt out of the auto renewal system at any time by logging into your Crinkling News My Account. Click on the Subscriptions option in My Account and then view your current subscription by pressing the View button next to your subscription. About half way down the subscription details page there is an option called Auto Renewal. Click on the Change button next to that option, select Disabled from the option box that appears and then click on the Save button next to that option box. This will change the state of your Auto Renewal from Enabled to Disabled.

At this point you are now on the manual renewal subscription and will be required to manually renew your subscription when it is due.

12. I have cancelled or changed my credit card. How do I provide new card details?

Log in to your Crinkling News account, select Subscriptions from the My Account section. Click on the View button to view the details of your current subscription. At the top of the page there is an Actions section with a Change Payment button. Click on this button and you will be taken to a page with your existing card information. Under the existing card information, select the radio button called Use a new credit card and this will reveal an area to enter your new credit card details. Completing this section will set up your subscription to be automatically renewed next time it is due from your newly entered credit card. We do not charge your credit card during this set up process. It is only charged on the day the subscription is due for renewal.

You can click on the Manage Cards button next to the saved Credit Card list at any time and that will give you the option to delete any credit card that we have stored for your account.

13. Do you save my credit card details?

Your credit card details are only saved if you opt in to the auto renewal system. If you opt out of auto renewal and continue to remain on the manual payment system we do not store your credit card details.

14. How do you save my credit card details?

Your credit card details are saved on our payment gateway partner website, eWay (https://www.eway.com.au/). eWay maintain a Tier 1 PCI DSS Compliant payment system. For details on their technology and security platform see https://www.eway.com.au/about-eway/technology-security.

All credit card details used by Crinkling News are accessed from eWay via a secure encrypted TLS v1.2 using the eWay Token Payment system ensuring that all of your secure payment information is maintained within the secure eWay environment.

15. So why should I get a subscription?

Crinkling News is the only national newspaper just for Australian kids. Our aim is to to educate the Australian adults of tomorrow about the world around them, to inspire them to participate in their local and global community, to foster a love of reading and learning and writing, and to entertain them with the extraordinary tales that form the story of humanity.

16. What is the cost of subscribing?

A six-month subscription is $108. A 12-month subscription is $216. This includes GST and postage anywhere in Australia.
